Yuba County Office of Education YCOE Better Together Always Think Big! The mighty elephant burst onto the little creek with a thunderous splash! His skin was cracked and painfully scorched by the unrelenting African sun. no one dared keep him from the sparkting water. He sunk his gleaming ivory tusks into the cooling mud and plunged his parched body into the tiny pools. And yet, unbeknownst to the beast, he has disrupted a colony of hardworking ants as they too tried to cool themselves. The jungle's littlest creatures were in total disarray as they tried to regroup and mount a defense. They instinctively swarmed the invading giant. Tragicatly, most were quickly smacked off by the elephant's powerfut trunk. And yet, arose from the fallen ants "Choke him, choke him!!" one extraordinarity brave little ant managed to hang on for dear tife as it made its way up the etephant's mountainous body.
