TOWN SPRAYING SET TO BEGIN 2021 Spray Schedule Green Swimming Pools Town Fogging- Thursday Mornings 3:30 AM to 6:30 AM Wheatland, Olivehurst, Linda, East Marysville, Live Oak, Sutter, Tierra Buena, Plumas Lake, and South Yuba City (Hilcrest) beginning July 1, 2021. Other morn ings will be added if/when necessary. A neglected swimming pool can produce over 100,000 mosquitoes throughout the summer. Our District utilizes an aerial photography contractor to identify green pools. Photos are then used by staff to direct them to pools where mosquitoes may be breeding. Our staff is currently visiting residents of suspect pools Ag Fogging- Tuesdays & Wednesdays Agricultural ground fogging occurs weekly on Tuesday & Wednesday nights at sunset in rural areas of the District and also in the towns of to arrange for an inspection and treatment if necessary. There is no charge, fee, or penalty. District staff is trained to treat mosquito- producing pools quickly and safely. You can still get your pool ready for swimming later. Robbins and Meridian. Agricultural Aerial Spraying- May occur on any night in agricultural areas north of Marysville, south of Linda/Olivehurst, southeast of Plumas Lake, and west and south of Yuba City. Reducing Disease Risk When disease-transmitting mosquitoes begin to accumulate in our towns, chances for hu man disease increase.
