Paid Advertisement Sutter County Adult Education ESL Program Superintendent Tom Reusser Sutter County Superintendent of Schools Sutter County Superintendent of Schools Intervention and Prevention Programs (IPP) Department has secured: multiple TUPE grants (Tobacco Use and Prevention Education). With the funds from this grant, Sutter County Superintendent of Schools, IPP provides support to our community and school districts in the following ways .Campus Tobacco-Free certification and compliance Tobacco Prevention Education Lessons Project Alert for Sutter County middle schools: training and support for school staff so they can teach their students Project Success for our Sutter County alternative programs to help prevent students from tobacco use and/or vaping education SPORT implemented by local athletic trainer, Beto Alvarado who goes out to the local high schools and teaches students what it takes to live a healthy lifestyle. Provide support and materials to Sutter County high schools in the areas of anti-tobacco and anti- vaping during assemblies, Red Ribbon Week, Kick Butt's Day, and booths at school events Youth Media Project: Albert Powell High School partnered with Sapphire Marketing and IPP Specialists to create an anti-vaping campaign Brief intervention for students who are caught using tobacco or vaping products and require support to cease using the products For further information regarding SCSOS anti-tobacco and anti-vaping programs for schools, please contact Virginia Burns, SCSOS IPP Coordinator at (530) 822-2969.
