Paid Advertisement A Message from Superintendent Tom Reusser Superintendent Tom Reusser Sutter County Superintendent of Schools As we continue to move forward during this uncommon time, it is important to remain positive and steadfast to our mission. Sutter County Superintendent of Schools remains faithful to our three priorities: SSOS will always do what is best for students SSos will provide high quality support to our districts SSoS will maintain a visible, productive presence within the community The health and safety of our staff and students is more important than ever during this unusual time. We are in constant communication with Dr. Luu, our bi-county health officer, to ensure that we are looking out for the health of everyone involved in our education system. On November 17, Dr. Luu recommended that our schools pause their phase in approach to in person school and return our 7-12 graders to distance learning. recommendation was due to an increase in positive This COVID cases. Our support to our districts remains strong as we communicate with Dr. Luu on a weekly basis and relay the information to our districts. We continue to provide fiscal, educational, special education and technology support as we weather this difficult time. All SCSOS departments have had an "all hands on deck" mentality for supporting our districts. We continue to contribute to our community. In October, SCSOS raised $1030 for the 10 for Alec Challenge. We support and promote all fundraisers within the community and are currently hosting a Needy Family Drive at Sutter County One Stop and a Toys for Tots Drive at our Klamath Office. During this extraordinary time, it's important that we maintain all safety protocols such as wearing a facial covering, social distancing, keeping travel as local as possible and working hard not to get sick. Our goal is to "re-flatten the curve" so that all of our Sutter County students can return to in person school. Paid for by Sutter Co.
